SEN Teaching Assistant - Leicester, City of Leicester Description Teaching Assistant: 1:1 SEN Support A fantastic opportunity has arisen in a Leicester city special school where the successful applicant will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD (Autism) This role: 5 days a week (term-time only) Ongoing Assignment Start Time: 8.15am - 3.30pm You will assist with the learning and personal development of the pupil in whom you are assigned. You will aid the pupil to learn as effectively as possible with the resources given. To motivate and encourage , by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to the pupils needs. Liaising with class teacher, SENCO and other professionals about individual education plans (IEPs), contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate Providing additional nurture to individuals when requested by the class teacher or SENCO To encourage pupils confidence and ability to carry out the work set by the class teacher. To be considered for this role: Right to work in the UK Level 2 or above in childcare Previous experience supporting pupil's with special educational needs At least two professional references
